Title: 2010 MLB Season Discussion
gokyle - July 20, 2010 09:52 PM (GMT)
I started a discussion about the 2010 Season. Hope thats ok :).
All division races are very close, and its anyone's game.
Jimmy - July 20, 2010 09:56 PM (GMT)
Fine by me, you never have to ask to start a topic.
I still think my Yankees have a good chance to repeat.
Josh - July 20, 2010 10:09 PM (GMT)
Well Ubaldo Jiminez was being beastly earlier this year. He's still 15-1, but his ERA has picked up dramatically recently.
gokyle - July 20, 2010 10:30 PM (GMT)
Yeah, Ubaldo should be 15-4. His offense has bailed him out quite a few times.
Josh Johnson should win the Cy Young, but they'll give it to Halladay <_< .
The Halos are playing the Yankees, Jimmy you wanna sig bet ?
Jimmy - July 21, 2010 12:40 AM (GMT)
Are we sig betting the series or just the game? If its the series I'm up for a sig bet.

Yeah, the series. Although Its a two game series, so if they tie its all for naught.
The Halos won game 1, so get ready to put a Halos pic in your sig :D . :wtf:

Well I guess we'll have to have to wait until they play again to do a sig bet. This aint over :headband:

I've been impressed with how well my home country, Toronto Blue Jays, have done this season. for a team that was expected to do terrible, they haven't done too bad.
ghooks88 - July 26, 2010 03:15 AM (GMT)
I'm liking my Braves! We're finally back! :w00t:
CEfanDP99 - July 26, 2010 05:22 AM (GMT)
My team is doing really well. The Reds have been great all year. Hopefully they can keep it together.
gokyle - July 26, 2010 04:07 PM (GMT)
The Marlins are surprisingly just out of the NL race.If they get some help they could be right in the thick of things.
The Angels are struggling, and they are 7 games out of first. They will need a ton of help to win the division, but I'm still hoping.
Josh - July 26, 2010 08:45 PM (GMT)
Rockies have fallen on their face. Just got swept by the goddamn Phillies. Phuck the Phillies.
ghooks88 - July 27, 2010 03:23 AM (GMT)
Eww Being swept by the Phaillies is terrible.
Josh - July 27, 2010 01:19 PM (GMT)
Ubaldo Jiminez used to be GOD. He had a 12-1 record with a .78 ERA. Point seven eight! Now he's above 3 (I think) and is 15-2! What. The. f***.
Disturbed14 - July 27, 2010 07:26 PM (GMT)
Garza had one hell of a game. First no hitter for the Rays.
gokyle - July 31, 2010 07:24 AM (GMT)
The Trade Deadline is 3:00 ET today, so what stars are going where ?
I'm thinking Adam Dunn will be dealt to Giants.
Jimmy - July 31, 2010 07:38 PM (GMT)
Yankees got a new DH in Lance Berkman, or a 1B for when Tex needs some rest from feilding but can still bat. I was hoping the Yankees would get another good pitcher, 9-7 for a starter with that offense behind him isn't very good. But I guess we'll have to take the good with the bad.

He's struggled this year, but its a hell of a deal. They also traded for Kerry Wood.
Jimmy - July 31, 2010 10:24 PM (GMT)
I was hoping we'd pick up a starting pitcher and better our rotation. Plus we're waiting on Andy to come back off the DL. I was hoping maybe Ted Lilly would become a Yankee, but I guess not. Wood is just going to take Joba's spot, because he isn't a starter at all. We also ended picking up Austin Kerns, another guy to get off the bench. Yankees are moving towards becoming the favorites again...
gokyle - July 31, 2010 10:39 PM (GMT)
I was hoping the Angels would move some of the old veterans since they wont be back next year. Like Bobby Abreu and Brian Fuentes.
Jimmy - July 31, 2010 11:08 PM (GMT)
Bobby Abreu was a let down after he left Philly. He hasn't lived up to what he was beleived he was going to when the Yankees went and got him.

I like him, but he just too old and slow to be in Right Field, a decent DH, but a terrible fielder.
Jimmy - August 1, 2010 05:16 PM (GMT)
He's got an amazing arm, but beyond that, feilding isn't anything for him to brag about. In all honesty, I think Bobby Abreu wasn't what he used to be, he has fallen apart, his hitting really went down when he was with the Yankees too.
mjs43 20 - September 17, 2010 12:05 AM (GMT)
goo playoff races right now!
I think the AL will be Yankees win the east, twins take central, rangers, take the west, with wild card rays
NL I think, Phillies win the east,Reds the central, Giants win the west, with the rockies sneaking up and taking the wild card!
Josh - September 17, 2010 03:01 AM (GMT)
Yay, Rockies! We need to heat up in a big way though if we wanna make some headway in the playoffs. Can't rely on just Ubaldo Jiminez to carry us.
mjs43 20 - September 23, 2010 04:49 PM (GMT)
rockies are blowing it Josh! they cant keep losing to teams like the diamondbacks if they want to have another "rock-tober"
Josh - September 23, 2010 05:17 PM (GMT)
None of us expect another Rock-tober, but Ubaldo's season has gone downhill in a hurry. At one point he was 14-1, now he is 19-7. Not good.
mjs43 20 - October 3, 2010 10:58 PM (GMT)
w00t post season baseball is here!
Josh - October 4, 2010 12:59 AM (GMT)
CEfanDP99 - October 5, 2010 09:29 PM (GMT)
I hope the Reds make it to the World Series. Imagine if the Reds face the Yankees. The Yankees may experience a little "Cuban Missile Crisis" (Aroldis Chapman if you don't know)
J24Gordon - October 5, 2010 10:15 PM (GMT)
Yankees better not make it to the world series. I would prefer if the Rays or Twins won it all.
CEfanDP99 - October 5, 2010 10:45 PM (GMT)
Yeah I don't want the Yankees to go to the World Series. I'd prefer any other AL team to go because I don't want money to be the reason a team wins.
mjs43 20 - October 13, 2010 07:23 PM (GMT)
So now were down to Phillies Vs. Giants and Yankees Vs. Rangers
I'm kinda hoping for a Philadelphia Phillies vs. Texas Rangers world series with Philadelphia winning so my favorite pitcher Roy Halladay gets a world series
Josh - October 13, 2010 11:06 PM (GMT)
Halladay doesn't already have one?
J24Gordon - October 14, 2010 12:06 AM (GMT)
Wish the Rays would of made it.

Nope he wasn't with the Phillies when they won recently. He was just traded from Toronto this offseason, and he wasn't around when the Jays won in 1992 & 1993
J24Gordon - October 16, 2010 01:33 AM (GMT)
Well since the Rays didn't make it go Rangers! As long as the Yankees don't win I will be happy with whoever does win.
mjs43 20 - October 19, 2010 02:38 PM (GMT)
Man if the rangers didn't blow game 1, they have dominated the yankees otherwise
J24Gordon - October 23, 2010 01:07 AM (GMT)
Comon Rangers!!! This is the game that you send the Yanks packing! I saw MLB is rigged if the Yanks end up making the world series lol.
